Why Monthly Sisterhood Ops Matter?
Local Monthly Sisterhood Ops are exclusive, action-driven bonding experiences crafted specifically for Kentucky-based women veterans, servicewomen, and military-connected women. Strategically aligned with the 2nd Saturday Women Veterans of Central Kentucky Luncheons, these events ensure convenience—allowing attendees to enjoy nourishment and genuine connections all in one purposeful trip each month.
Events rotate between Lexington, Louisville, and various Central Kentucky locations, ensuring regional accessibility. Each experience prioritizes stress relief, creative expression, and meaningful peer connections. While dates and specifics may slightly shift within a 30–60 day window due to scheduling or venue capacity, our commitment to providing impactful, therapeutic experiences remains constant.
⚠️ Road Trips and Getaways have firm registration deadlines and are NOT subject to date changes once posted.

What Does Research Say?
Women veterans frequently report heightened feelings of isolation, disconnection, and inadequate traditional mental health support. According to the National Center for PTSD, "peer support and community-based connections can significantly protect against trauma-related symptoms."
A 2022 RAND report also highlighted that informal social support groups notably improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance trust in support systems among post-9/11 women veterans.
Sisterhood Ops directly respond to these research findings by creating:
-
Safe, pressure-free environments for authentic emotional expression.
-
Joy-focused spaces centered around creativity, movement, and bonding.
-
Trauma-sensitive designs allowing engagement without reliving traumatic experiences.
-
Consistent community visibility and belonging through regularly scheduled activities.

A Growing Movement
As Rising HerWay: The Women Rising Project expands, our mission includes partnering with local businesses, Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs), and supportive funders to help subsidize or fully fund future events, road trips, and immersive experiences. Each RSVP, every social share, and every participant who joins our events strengthens this crucial mission.
💥 Because no woman should have to heal alone—and healing should never feel like another checkbox.
